Beşiktaş opened their EuroLeague campaign with a narrow 96-94 defeat to Valencia Basket. A late game-winning shot by TJ Shorts, combined with a 90% free-throw conversion rate and rebounding dominance by Valencia, sealed the loss for the Black-and-Whites. Compounding the defeat, Beşiktaş forward DaQuan Jeffries sustained a left wrist fracture during the first quarter of the match.
