Beşiktaş has secured qualification for the UEFA Europa League play-off round following a 1–0 aggregate victory over Czech First League side FC Hradec Králové. In the second leg staged at Beşiktaş Park, Czech winger Václav Černý scored the decisive goal in the 40th minute, ending the European ambitions of his home-country opponents and drawing substantial coverage across Czech sports publications.
