Beşiktaş has officially reached an agreement with English Premier League side Manchester United for the transfer of 27-year-old Turkish international goalkeeper Altay Bayındır. According to widespread reports, the transfer fee is set at €5 million (approximately £4.4 million).
While Beşiktaş initially pursued Bayındır during the January transfer window, the deal will now be finalized as soon as the summer transfer window opens, with Manchester United reportedly leaving €4.7 million on the table compared to previous valuations. Early in the current season, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim had placed his trust in Bayındır to guard the net, but the deadline day signing of Senne Lammens shifted the squad dynamics, paving the way for Bayındır's return to the Süper Lig.
