Asllani's Commitment and Defensive Targets
Kristjan Asllani, who joined Beşiktaş on loan from Inter during the winter transfer window, has expressed a strong desire to remain with the club indefinitely in recent statements to the Italian press. In other squad developments, Beşiktaş is reportedly exploring moves to bolster their defense, showing interest in Fulham center-back Issa Diop, an unnamed Tottenham defender, and Santos goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão.
Meanwhile, several former and loaned players have made moves. Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has joined Celtic as a free agent after his departure from Beşiktaş, and Libyan international Moatasem Al-Musrati, currently on loan to Serie A side Hellas Verona, has reversed his international retirement. On a more personal note, midfielder Wilfred Ndidi showed remarkable resilience by returning to the pitch for Beşiktaş just four days after the passing of his father, playing 23 minutes in a 2-1 victory over Konyaspor.
