Besiktas Transfer Updates: Moves for Nico Raskin and Maxence Caqueret Stall While Umit Akdag Arrives
Beşiktaş J.K. has been highly active in the closing stages of the transfer window, experiencing both successful acquisitions and negotiation setbacks. The Istanbul-based club recently secured the signature of 22-year-old central defender Umit Akdag from Corendon Alanyaspor for a reported fee of €8,000,000. Akdag has signed a four-year contract and was officially registered in the club's UEFA Europa League squad.
Conversely, Beşiktaş has encountered difficulties in bolstering its midfield. A permanent transfer offer of approximately £13.7 million (€16 million) for Nicolas Raskin was rejected by Rangers, with manager Derek McInnes expressing a strong desire to retain the Belgian midfielder. Similarly, attempts to sign Maxence Caqueret from Como 1907 have stalled. Despite an official bid being submitted by Beşiktaş, the 26-year-old French midfielder reportedly failed to agree on personal terms and has opted against the move.
