Amedspor Edges Beşiktaş 3–2 in Diyarbakır Thriller to Seize Süper Lig Summit
In the sixth round of the 2026–27 Trendyol Süper Lig season, Amed Sportif Faaliyetler secured a 3–2 home victory over Beşiktaş JK at Diyarbakır Stadium on 20 September 2026. The result propelled the Diyarbakır side to the top position in the league standings.
The hosts established an early advantage when forward Gift Orban scored from long range in the 13th minute. Dia Saba doubled Amedspor's lead in the 22nd minute to send the home side into halftime with a 2–0 cushion. Beşiktaş reduced the deficit ten minutes into the second half when Dušan Vlahović converted in the 55th minute following a VAR confirmation. However, Furkan Soyalp restored Amedspor’s two-goal lead in the 59th minute.
Disciplinary tension escalated in the final quarter of the match, resulting in a second yellow card and expulsion for Amedspor defender Amadou Cisse in the 83rd minute. Beşiktaş narrowed the margin deep into stoppage time as Orkun Kökçü scored a penalty in the 90+8th minute. Despite late offensive pressure from the Istanbul side—including an attempt by Milot Rashica stopped by goalkeeper Alban Lafont—Amedspor held on with ten men to secure the victory.
