Mohamed Salah Transfer Negotiations Breakdown Following Agent Commission Demands

Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı revealed that high commission demands from player agent Ramy Abbas Issa led to the collapse of negotiations with Egyptian international Mohamed Salah. Reports indicated that a verbal agreement on player terms—a proposed one-year contract valued at approximately €10 million plus bonuses—had initially been reached following direct discussions with head coach Vincenzo Italiano.

However, the transaction halted when the agent requested an additional commission fee reported to be as high as 35%. While initial rumors sparked widespread enthusiasm among supporters, both Beşiktaş and the player’s representative subsequently issued official statements clarifying that no binding contract had been finalized. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and other sources confirmed that an official offer was extended, but negotiations have ceased due to the financial parameters required by the agent.
