Rashica Faces a Month Out as Vlahović Returns to Beşiktaş Training
Beşiktaş received contrasting injury news during the international break, with Milot Rashica expected to miss approximately a month while Dušan Vlahović returned to full training ahead of the Kocaelispor match.
Rashica was injured in the closing stages of Kosovo’s match against Austria on October 4. Following his return to Istanbul, examinations and an MRI revealed a strain and bleeding in the upper thigh muscle. Beşiktaş subsequently began treatment, while reports in Kosovo indicated that the winger is expected to remain unavailable for around one month.
The news creates a significant absence for Vincenzo Italiano during an important part of the domestic and European schedule.
There was better news concerning Vlahović. The Serbian striker, who had been working separately because of a calf problem, returned to team training on October 5. Reports from the club’s preparations indicate that he could be available for the Süper Lig match against Kocaelispor on October 11, although a return to the squad would not necessarily mean an immediate place in the starting eleven.
Beşiktaş have continued tactical and conditioning work at Nevzat Demir Training Facilities, with Italiano using small-sided matches as part of preparations for Kocaelispor.
