Beşiktaş Close to Loan Deal for Al-Hilal Striker Darwin Núñez, Rejects Mauro Icardi Proposal
Beşiktaş has reportedly reached an initial agreement with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal for the temporary transfer of Uruguayan forward Darwin Núñez. According to reports from Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the proposed arrangement involves a one-season loan deal, with Beşiktaş planning to cover approximately 80 percent of the striker’s salary (around €17.5 million). The move forms part of the club’s broader effort to bolster its attacking options.
Concurrently, reports indicate that Beşiktaş management evaluated and subsequently turned down an offer to sign Argentine forward Mauro Icardi as part of their ongoing search for a primary central striker.
