Beşiktaş Renew Willock Pursuit as Personal Terms Claim Emerges

Beşiktaş’s interest in Newcastle United midfielder Joe Willock has returned to the transfer agenda, with reports suggesting the Istanbul club could make another approach in January.

According to NUFC Blog, citing Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Beşiktaş have reportedly reached an understanding with Willock’s representatives over personal terms. The report follows an unsuccessful summer pursuit and renewed public interest from Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı.

Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle has expressed satisfaction with Willock’s performances and indicated an interest in retaining him. NUFC Blog reports that the midfielder’s contract expires at the end of the 2026–27 season, making his future an issue ahead of the winter window.

The reported understanding concerns personal terms with the player’s representatives. It does not establish an agreement between Newcastle and Beşiktaş over a transfer.
