Two Goals Up, Two Points Dropped: Beşiktaş Held by Kasımpaşa

Beşiktaş surrendered a two-goal advantage to draw 2–2 with Kasımpaşa at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium on 1 November, extending their difficulties away from home in the Süper Lig.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring in the 28th minute after receiving Rıdvan Yılmaz’s pass. Dušan Vlahović doubled the lead shortly after half-time, finishing from close range following Amir Murillo’s involvement. Kasımpaşa responded through Claudio Winck’s 60th-minute header before Marcus Rafferty headed in Kerem Demirbay’s cross in the 87th minute to secure a point.

Vincenzo Italiano attributed the dropped points to declining intensity and concentration after Beşiktaş established their advantage. The coach said his side had opportunities to score a third goal but subsequently lost control. Murillo offered a similar assessment, acknowledging that the team lost its rhythm and failed to maintain its performance after going 2–0 ahead.

The result left Beşiktaş with one victory, one draw and three defeats from their opening five away league matches. There was also a return to action for Milot Rashica, who replaced Trossard in the 83rd minute. The injury announcement circulating alongside the match coverage dates from 6 October; his appearance against Kasımpaşa provides the more recent update on his availability.
