Oh and Olaitan Strike Late as Beşiktaş Beat Başakşehir
Beşiktaş defeated İstanbul Başakşehir 2–0 at Tüpraş Stadium on 26 October, securing three points through second-half goals from Hyeon-gyu Oh and Junior Olaitan.
After a goalless first half, Oh replaced Wilfred Ndidi in the 65th minute and opened the scoring eleven minutes later. Olaitan added the second in the 89th minute to settle the ninth-round Süper Lig encounter.
Speaking afterwards, Oh highlighted the potential of his partnership with Dušan Vlahović, explaining that their different playing styles offered the team another attacking option. Olaitan, who had also scored against Crystal Palace, stressed the importance of maintaining momentum and avoiding a wider gap to the league leaders.
Coach Vincenzo Italiano said his substitutions improved the team’s attacking effectiveness after the interval and described the result as an important victory.
