Vlahović Ruled Out as Beşiktaş Face Hoffenheim
Beşiktaş will face Hoffenheim in the Europa League on Thursday, 15 October, without Dušan Vlahović. The Serbian striker was omitted from the travelling squad while receiving treatment for viral gastroenteritis.
The squad announcement supersedes earlier reports that Vlahović might travel despite missing training. Václav Černý is also absent following his thigh injury, leaving Vincenzo Italiano with changes to make in attack.
Hoffenheim have an injury setback of their own. Coach Christian Ilzer confirmed that Albian Hajdari injured his plantar fascia and would be unavailable for several weeks.
Beşiktaş enter the fixture after defeating Marseille 4–1 in their European opener, while Hoffenheim seek their first points following a 2–0 defeat to OFI Crete.
