Kökçü and Vlahović Fire Beşiktaş Past Kocaelispor
Beşiktaş returned from the international break with a 2–1 victory over Kocaelispor at Tüpraş Stadium on 11 October. All three goals came in the first half of the Süper Lig encounter.
Orkun Kökçü opened the scoring in the 18th minute, before Show equalised for the visitors in the 27th. Dušan Vlahović restored Beşiktaş’s advantage from the penalty spot four minutes later. Neither team added to the score after the interval.
The result brought Beşiktaş back to winning ways following their previous league defeat. Coach Vincenzo Italiano described the victory as particularly valuable given the limited preparation time and fatigue affecting players returning from international duty.
