Celtic Trip Puts Orkun’s Fitness and Oh’s Return in Focus

Beşiktaş visit Celtic Park on Thursday, 5 November, for their fourth UEFA Europa League league-phase match. Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm in Glasgow, or 11pm in Türkiye.

Captain Orkun Kökçü’s availability remains uncertain in reporting published on 3 November. Celts Are Here, citing Turkish reports, said the midfielder would be assessed in training before a decision on travelling to Scotland. He has missed four competitive matches through injury; joining the travelling squad would not itself confirm a starting place.

Former Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu is another focus of the build-up. CeltsAreHere Extra Time highlighted a Beşiktaş supporter and podcast host’s prediction that Oh could start against his former club. His inclusion in the starting line-up remains a prediction pending Italiano’s selection.

Beşiktaş’s official preparation update said the squad began work on 3 November, with a final training session and the flight to Scotland planned for 4 November.
