Beşiktaş Seek European Response Against Crystal Palace

Beşiktaş return to Europa League action against Crystal Palace at Tüpraş Stadium on Thursday, 22 October, seeking a response to their league defeat at Trabzonspor.

The Istanbul side have opened the league phase with two victories, beating Marseille 4–1 and Hoffenheim 3–2. Seven goals from those matches have placed Beşiktaş fourth in the standings ahead of the third round.

Crystal Palace arrive after a 5–0 Premier League defeat at Brighton and a 3–2 European loss to Lyon. Both teams therefore enter the fixture following domestic setbacks, although Beşiktaş retain a perfect record in the Europa League league phase. Sports Mole reports that Orkun Kökçü remains sidelined with a foot injury.
