Salah’s “35 Per Cent” Post Revives Beşiktaş Transfer Dispute
Mohamed Salah’s contribution to Trabzonspor’s victory over Beşiktaş was followed by a social media post referencing the Istanbul club’s unsuccessful summer pursuit of the forward.
According to Gulf News, Salah shared match photographs on Instagram with the Turkish phrase “Yüzde otuz beş,” meaning “35 per cent.” The report interpreted the caption as a reference to Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı’s earlier comments about an alleged commission demand during transfer negotiations. The reported financial demand remains a claim about the negotiations.
Trabzonspor’s own post-match messaging also drew coverage. Goal reported that the club celebrated with material featuring a “checkmate” theme and Salah imagery, extending the rivalry beyond the final whistle.
